Network System Administrator

The Engineering team of the Heart and Collection network (ICC) of Orange France wishes to modernize its pre-production environment made up of Cisco, Juniper and Nokia routers.

The mission is to review the physical architecture and automate the backups, restores and resets of configurations and software versions of our equipment.

Still in this perspective of automation, you will notably be required to design a tool base for: system administrator skills

automatically reinject the configurations on the routers every week / month,

allow automatic configurations,

change the software versions of the equipment,

save and restore users' personal configurations for a particular router,

produce a dynamic diagram of the platform,

have a material inventory.

Finally, in order to be able to use the new environment and your new tools, you must write up the “best practices” for using the platform and also a manual for the tools to train future users.

about you

You are preparing for a BAC + 5 level diploma (Engineer or Master), with a network option.

You know the basics of IP networks: IPv4, IPv6, routing protocols

You have absolutely acquired the basics of algorithms and programming .

In particular, you have already developed scripts (bash, Python). You worked on Linux

Ideally, you have some knowledge of automation tools (Ansible, AWX).

and also :

You show rigor and curiosity.

You have writing and synthesis skills.

additional information

The mission allows you to evolve in a cutting-edge technical environment (the largest routers on the market) and to develop and enhance your network and system skills.

You will become a real NetOps!

You have the opportunity to work in collaboration with the engineering and operations teams and to observe the concrete results of your work.

department

The role of the Networks and Services Technical Department is to design and deliver the technical architectures, equipment, offers / services of Orange France on time and on budget. It defines and builds the networks and infrastructures of tomorrow.

To achieve these ambitious goals, the DTRS relies on:

its central departments (8 in number):

Entry point for marketing departments to mature, qualify requests and carry the commitment of Orange France technical entities, they:

define the strategy of networks and services and steer the roadmap

define and monitor Orange France's investment programs, in the “fixed” and “mobile” networks, infrastructures and service platforms

ensure the engineering and security of network and IS infrastructures

ensure the integration of offers and services into the network and information systems

manage operations in a coordinated fixed / mobile approach

its network management units (5 UPRs) which:

plan operations and manage the construction of networks in compliance with quality, technical and budgetary requirements

deliver the best network, optimize engineering as part of the group's equipment policy

manage the implementation of programs and maintenance operations on the equipment

ensure interworking with other parts of the network and service platforms.

with the support of its transversal departments (HR, COM.)
